I have been living one awesome, crazy, beautiful life this past year. With 20 weddings, a slew of engagements, family photos and senior sessions, I have found myself smiling every day and wondering if this is real life. I went from being a student teacher, to graduating college, to becoming a full time photographer so quickly, that I’m not sure if I’ve even had the time to soak it all in. I decided to take a little break from editing and shooting for other people for a day, and decided to shoot just to shoot. Without a deadline and without posing, I grabbed my friend Hayley and just took pictures.

This is an industry where photographers can burn out quickly. I always want to look forward to going to sessions, waking up in the morning with a bundle of pretty pictures to edit, meeting with clients at a coffee shop, and bragging about the life I’m living. Taking a little step back and shooting for just the sake of taking a pretty picture was relaxing, refreshing, and it reminded me to shoot “just because” every now again.

And yes, I have pretty friends!
