Patrick and Janna have opened a new door into Molly Jo Collection, anniversary and love sessions! This duo has been married for four wonderful years and photographing their love was a reminder that aside from the beauty of a wedding day, the promise and the days that come after are also ones to cherish. It’s the life that you are creating that deserves celebration too. Your togetherness, your happiness, your friendship, your trust, love, excitement, all of these things deserve a spotlight too. Patrick and Janna are proof that we should create beautiful wedding days, and an even more beautiful marriage. Although we have just met, I have a hard time believing that their spark could be anymore powerful.

Knowing that I photograph mostly couples who are engaged and wedding days, just for fun, I asked these love birds a few questions about their marriage so far! They admit that by no means have they mastered marriage, but they are having a darn good time!

Q: If you could plan any date night, what would it be?
A: Going out for sushi downtown then ending up at the Union Terrace to dance to live music.

Q: What are your top three favorite things about marriage?
A: So hard to choose! Some top faves are: Staying up too late talking and laughing. Adventuring together. & having fun doing the day to day stuff together.

Q: After four years of marriage, what is the best thing you learned from your spouse?
A: Janna: He has shown me what it looks like to be selfless and to love someone unconditionally.
Patrick: I have learned to be more patient because she is so patient and loving towards others.

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to newlyweds, what would it be?
A: Laugh and have fun in the day to day stuff, and always encourage each other.

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to couples planning a wedding, what would it be?
A: Don’t worry about what other people think. Focus on and celebrate what is most important: your love and your commitment to one another!

They are electric, they laugh and light up an already gorgeous and sunny evening at a park. They are an example to follow, one that says that young love is beautiful and to always cherish your husband or wife; travel together, go for walks, cook together and dangit, after four years of marriage, have yourselves an awesome photo shoot!
