Matt + Shaunae : Cozy Engagement Celebration at Home

Matt and Shaunae LOVE breakfast! Morning is their thing, breakfast is their favorite time to hang. A session that included breakfast in bed, top knots, cozy sweaters and kitchen dancing… sign me up! I love that these two were engaged during a fall trip to Door County, when it was just the two of them. It was nothing overdone, it was them. They kept that moment and that weekend for themselves and I see that feeling and that idea carry in their relationship. They know their time together is important <3 They are first!

Shaunae is also a local wedding photographer (and friend!! <3) and it’s the best feeling when I get to photograph creatives! For one, they get to be in front of the camera to have their memories documented, that’s always special. For two, I get to see what it’s like at home for them while they work. I get to meet the important people in their lives that make them happy. I get to see the support. Matt is nothing but supportive of Shaunae. He embraces her ideas, he joins the conversations, he’s interested in the things she’s interested in because he loves her so. Matt works for the Packers and has a job that takes away time at home. Shaunae wears her green and gold and cheers for the Packers and for Matt all at once.

Rewinding a few months back… I remember grabbing lunch with Shaunae not so long ago, before their engagement, when I first heard about “Matt”. She lit up when she talked about him, her confidence in him and in their relationship was unmeasurable. I am SO happy this world brought you together, you are unstoppable!
