Sweet Sunday Brunch Wedding at the Castino Mansion, Sheboygan, WI
They spent the entire weekend with their closest friends and family at this mansion. They stayed up late, shared laughs, drinks, ate meals together, tossed the football in the backyard, flew kites with their neice, enjoyed the lake view and had campfires with their favorite people, a weekend full of memories that would end with the greatest memory of all, Matt + Keta’s vows. I’m having a tricky time on deciding where to begin with writing this blog post because really, this wedding day changed my perspective a bit, in the BEST way possible.
I’ll start with Keta, the sweet bride this day. We became instant friends by just chatting on e-mail, she’s somebody who’s so full of positivity! You just can’t help but smile at her messages and thoughtful notes that show up at your doorstep. She sends cards in the (real) mail, she doesn’t use social media and carries around a flip phone (which is adorable.) Why am I telling you this? Because it shapes their wedding day and who they are as people. Sharing special moments in life with those they love the most and focusing their attention on the things that matter: one another, their families, their close friends, memories. They are simple people and I love them for that. We had a great little talk later in the day about photography and authenticity, and I’ll be sharing a little bit more of that with you later on!
Sam and I walked into the mansion and were taken by the immediate smells and Sunday vibes. Sounds of the oven closing, plates being handled, aroma of cinnamon rolls with sweet icing, sizzling bacon, conversations in pajamas and helpful hands. Why Sunday morning? They love the morning and there’s something so comfortable and familiar about Sunday’s. It was a day tailored to them, a day they will always love. We were greeted with hugs, offered breakfast, and were given a tour of this beautiful place. I immediately fell in love with all of the patterns, textures, furniture and character of the Castino Mansion!
Keta slipped into her gorgeous BHLDN gown, Matt tilted his wooden tie to perfection, and they were more than ready to join their guests on the patio to share one of the greatest moments of their life. Keta has never seen her dad or Matt cry, and they both were taken with emotions on this day. It was the sweetest thing to see. If a photo could say 1,000 words, take a look at Matt’s reaction as Keta makes her way towards him. Moments like that are everything. They way they looked at each other all day, man, you could tell their hearts were beating fast and their love was something truly magical.
They already can’t wait to head back to the mansion with the same group for anniversaries and fun weekends away. How special it is to have a spot to return to. I (clearly) could give praise to this day over and over again and I’m so excited to share their happiness!
Meet: Mr. and Mrs. Heitzler! (A bonus video clip at the end showcasing their day! I’m in love!)
If you can handle it, there’s more to be seen in their video clip below! Oh how I loved this day.
Matt and Keta did most of the work themselves! Here are a few of the lovely vendors:
Bride’s Dress: BHLDN // Bridesmaid Dress: J.Crew // Location: Castino Lakeview Mansion, Sheboygan, WI // Paper Goods: Paper & More // Cake: Buckley’s, Milwaukee
These gorgeous pics make me want to renew my vows!
Beautiful wedding. Shed a few tears even though I didn’t know the bride and groom.
