Downtown + Milwaukee Yacht Club Engagement Session, Milwaukee, WI

Some of the best snaps happened on Justin + Becka’s engagement session day and so many things were pulled together to make it as amazing as it was. For one, downtown Milwaukee, you have never looked more beautiful! Our first stop of the evening is pictured in the first photo, one of Becka’s favorite views of the city (and I completely agree!). They danced with the most perfect backdrop and let it sink in that this is real life, they will be married before the end of this year! And, naturally, we snuck into Screaming Tuna for a quick drink, it was a hot one! Any excuse for something fruity, am I right?

With all the fun downtown it was hard to think that things would get even more picturesque, but it did. We had this vision of a sunset sailboat session from the very beginning but knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to pull off, we would try our hardest anyways! After multiple phone calls and attempts, the Milwaukee Yacht Club came to our rescue and we can’t thank Pam enough for her kindness and helpfulness, and Justin for volunteering his time and beautiful, vintage sailboat. It was a dream come true, new friends were made, and a vision was brought to life! We were so smitten with the evening, it was all too perfect. Sending a special shout out to J. Hilburn for Justin’s custom outfits for the session (just wait until you see him + his groomsmen on the wedding day! This company is pretty stellar!) and Hyde Park, a cute boutique in Wauwautosa where Becka’s beautiful backless navy dress was found! So much style, you two.

Becka and I go way back, I mean, WAY back. She brought some photos of us from our soccer team when we were little, and we laughed about how we’d dress in super weird outfits and take pictures growing up. I think it’s safe to say that these photos trump all of our photo attempts. It was the best thing to see Becka find a guy like Justin, someone who is funny, quick witted and confident in who he is, just like her. It was a great day spent with you two and I am so happy to call you guys friends. All my love!
