Luke and Josie are the COOLEST! We initially “met” via Skype to chat details, answer questions, go through a typical wedding day, that sort of thing! Nothing makes me happier than connecting with couples right away, when you know instantly that you’ll be a great fit. I loved learning about their lives! They both graduated from St. Norbert’s college, which is also where their ceremony will be taking place! They were only acquaintances there, and officially met on their first day of summer at a friends bonfire. I love stories like that, the ones where they’ve crossed paths before and eventually end up spending forever together! They are both teachers (and we all know I have a special place in my heart for teachers!) and I just KNOW from meeting them only once in person that those kids are the luckiest to have them. In our e-mails, Josie talked about how talented Luke is musically, and how she loves to listen to him sing and play. A fun fact for those of you attending the ceremony: Luke is picking out all of the music for their ceremony, and Josie admitted that (aside from saying “I do!”) that she’s looking forward to that the most.
Soon after our Skype session, we found ourselves at Picnic Point here in Madison on a beautiful day! It could not have been more perfect. I love how these two are just super sincere people, you can tell within minutes of knowing them. They greet with hugs, they smile with kind eyes and are totally up for anything (which includes slow dancing to ridiculous 90’s music 😉 ) I could not be more excited for these two as they go through the planning process, fall more in love, find that perfect dress and talk colors and most importantly, talk about their lives after the wedding day.
