Jack + Rose: Timeless Engagement Session, Milwaukee, WI

Jack and Rose. When they first sent me a message I couldn’t help but love their names right away. Their names fit their presence, completely timeless and I feel like they just jumped right from The Notebook and into Milwaukee, WI! Neither of them are originally from Milwaukee. They came from different states to attend Marquette University, and as fate would have it, they met, fell in love, and now call Milwaukee home. Their first date was at Colectivo on the lake, so we took photos there to bring things full circle! After checking the radar probably 100 times, it, of course, began to sprinkle right when we began. As fate would have it again, that sprinkle cleared out a crowded patio area, we popped up some umbrellas and had the outdoor space nearly ourselves. Rose told the story of their first date and said that they were having such great conversation, she didn’t want to tell Jack that she was cold and interrupt the sweet time they were spending. The chill in the air for their engagement session only served as an extra reminder of that great first date! <3

We spent time at the lake and the lighthouse after that. I had so many favorite parts of this session, but I’ll share two! While at the lake, I took a step back and Jack was telling Rose something. Whatever it was, it must have been the sweetest thing ever because Rose instantly began to fight back tears. If she’s already tearing up at their engagement session, the wedding might just be filled with water works!! 🙂 The second, I asked Rose about her dress, and she burst into laughter because while she found one, she has no idea what it looks like. She had so much fun dress shopping that she kinda sorta blacked out from happiness and honestly does not remember what she picked, but she knows she loves it! SO many laughs!

The light was dreamy after the rain came and the flowers smelled SO good while we walked around to celebrate their engagement! And, I cannot complete this post without mentioning how obsessed I was with Rose’s dress and Jack’s sailboat pants. C’mon, get cuter, you two! 😉 These pictures will stand the test of time and Rose and Jack will too! Right out of a storybook! Just loved hanging out with you two, can’t wait for the wedding <3
