When somebody in the wedding industry gets engaged, you bet that they’re gonna go all out! Brian must love Meghan a whole ton while she plans the wedding day of her dreams. He admits that he’s along for the ride, that Meghan’s the mastermind behind all the glorious planning, and that he just can’t wait for the day to come. Photographing the happy between people is truly what fuels my fire. Whenever I hit the shutter at that perfect instant, I get crazy giddy… if I have ever taken your picture, you probably know what I mean 😉 What is even more exciting is when the duo in front of the lens are friends, people that you have developed a relationship with previously and are already tear-filled just thinking of them walking down the aisle. Before moving to Madison, Meghan reached out just to connect as friends in the wedding industry. We chatted here and there, and when I found out we were making the big move, she was the first to offer lunch, to show me around, and the first to let me know that I had a friend here. Sam and I grabbed dinner with her and Brian, and fast forward about 6 months-ish down the road, and we are taking their engagement photos and grilling out in front of their apartment. The world is funny and beautiful.

We took photos right outside of their apartment and I love when couples choose to shoot at a place that helps to tell their love story. Years and years down the road, they’ll look back at these photos, and remember that this was where they were engaged, where they made meals together and started building their careers and their life as a couple. They often times set out a blanket and hang in the little patch of grass right outside their doorstep, so, why not lay out a blanket and do the same for the session? As excited as I am to show you these pictures, I am even more excited to announce that their wedding day is only a few short months away, and I already can’t wait to show you those without the day even happening yet! Meghan is a florist and photographer, so you can only imagine the details and love they will put into their wonderful wedding day. My eyes are filling with hearts already (and I just got their invite today! Squeee!!)
