These Feet: Endlessly Strolled through Chicago // Part I

“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”

Now that the “off season” has officially begun, I am happily continuing my “these feet” series! For those of you who are new to following me, I began this series last year and vowed to travel every chance I get, whether that means hopping on a plane solo, taking a long drive, or visiting old friends. I have this desire to see new spaces and document my experiences and the people around me. Some people keep a journal, and I keep photos. Check out the “these feet” category to see what I’ve been up to this year!

Chicago has been on my list for far too long. My dear cousin Jill made the move down there and we have had dreams of visits for quite some time. Well, a weekend finally worked out and it was one of the best weekends yet. This trip was both relaxing and adventurous, two key things to one successful trip. On day one, we lounged in their cute apartment, drank wine, Watched Halloween 1 and 5 (random, I know), and hung with her adorable roommates. Day two consisted of the longest walk I have ever taken to explore as much of Chicago as we could in one days time. As crazy as it sounds, I have never had an over night visit in Chicago. I have taken several day trips to the art museums and roamed Michigan Ave with some spare time before the bus left, but never really experienced a day in the life.

Cousin Jill was the best tour guide and friend to be with. We saw all of the hot spots and accidentally stumbled upon some of the coolest things. We ate the best deep dish pizza, saw a proposal, went to the zoo, caught up on life, and endlessly strolled the streets.

Enjoy part I of our two part adventure, and please don’t judge us on our jumping pictures…

Stay tuned for part two!
