Ryan + Hannah: Sweet Lakeside Wedding, Osthoff Resort, Elkhart Lake, WI

This wedding day!!! <3 I love that Ryan and Hannah planned their day around comfort, the lake, and the overall atmosphere. Being at a lakeside, WI resort for a full and fun wedding weekend made for memories that they’ll always carry with them and I’m obsessed with that idea. I just have to give a Post Lake plug here (you all know how much I love our family cottage!) and mention that the arch that they were married under was made from a birch tree, taken from a tree on Post Lake where their family also has a cottage. Again, another perfect idea. During their ceremony, the officiant reminded their family and friends of the significance of a birch tree, Post Lake memories and important people who played a sweet role in their lives. Leading up to the ceremony, everyone got a kick out of how calm and relaxed Hannah was. She was steaming bridesmaid dresses, went with the flow of the morning, would smile, shrug, and sweetly say “no” when people asked if she was nervous. Gotta love her! 🙂

During the speeches at dinner, Hannah’s sister joked about how they’d put Hannah in charge of decorating their rooms growing up. She followed that passion and is now a talented interior designer which was directly reflected in their wedding day. All of the special touches and details, paper goods, geometric shapes that hung from the chandeliers, were all made by Hannah. It was so cool to see her hard work come together into one day, and to see how cohesive and personal her vision was! Ryan and Hannah are perfect compliments to one another and it is so clear how happy they are, and how happy their family and friends are that Ryan gets to officially join Hannah’s family, and that Hannah officially is now part of Ryan’s. Their relationships seem so close and easy, and we couldn’t be more excited for them (and to show off their wedding day)!!
