Nick + Amanda: Traditional meets Botanical on this beauty of a day, Appleton + Green Bay, WI

We met at Franklin Street Bed and Breakfast where the girls popped champagne on the porch and enjoyed their morning in this big windowed, historical home right in Appleton! I loved that Amanda’s parents were there with her at the B&B for those little moments before the big moments. They were married at Nick’s hometown church, a place super meaningful for his family and a sweet starting place to kick off their marriage. People say that weather is one thing they remember about their wedding day, and I don’t think they’ll forget that they were married on a day that was 100 degrees! It only made the drinks taste better and added little funny moments throughout the day 🙂 The care that went into planning had everything to do with now much Nick and Amanda love the people who were there to celebrate with them. They wanted friends and family (both from the area and out of town) to enjoy every bit of their Wisconsin wedding. They hoped they’d take walks around the beautiful Green Bay Botanical Gardens and dance the night away to their live band <3 It was all about creating a fun and memory-filled experience for everyone and they did just that!

A labor of love as most weddings are, I know Amanda loved having her mom come to town to help dress shop and plan. Nick and Amanda had lots of amazing DIY projects present (chalkboard signs, mailbox card holder, etc.) and meaningful details were sprinkled about their whole day. The flower sewn into her wedding dress was on her grandmother’s wedding dress and she wore her moms earrings <3 They picked songs that represented their relationship for the ceremony and dances, and particularly loved when Nick and his mom did the Polka for their mother/son dance! HOW FUN!
