As of April 30th in the afternoon, Mike and Heather became a Mr. and Mrs. at the most beautiful church surrounded by a sea of their family and friends. It was a full house, and it was a big church. We met the lovely ladies in the upstairs of Greene’s Pour House, a gorgeous space for getting ready in the Fox Valley! We jammed to tunes, were amazed when the bridesmaids walked out in their gorgeous turquoise dresses, and loved on Heather as she slipped into her gown and became a bride right before our eyes. She looked beautiful. Heather was meant to plan her wedding day. She was so organized and so excited all at once. Everything was either made or visioned by her, and it all came together in the most flawless way. Mike’s Thank You speech gave all the credit to his beautiful bride for making this day come together, and he admitted that was tired after cutting some turquoise strings. Haha!
Heather’s first look with her dad was something special and their bond all day would make anyone smile. She wanted him to see her first to share a moment together before their walk down the aisle, and although those moments in the beginning of the day may have went fast, his speech during dinner was one of the sweetest speeches we’ve ever heard. It was so honest and real. My favorite part was when he said, “You are my world, little lady” and everyone knew how much he meant that.
Mike and Heather are the greatest compliments to one another, and from the times I was able to be with them, it is so clear that they have the most fun when they are together. Just one example for you was the dance floor at their wedding. They were on it ALL night, dancing and laughing and hanging with their guests, the band, their family, it was so fun to watch them embrace the slow dances and totally kill the polka when Roll out the Barrel played. Their wedding day was made of all things that I hope all weddings can have, happy tears, happy laughter, and so much dancing (and a giant kiss wheel during dinner is just an added bonus ;)).
Their wedding day was the perfect kick off to busy season and has made us feel so excited and inspired for what’s to come the rest of this year. Thank you for being kind and wonderful and FUN people! Wishing you two the greatest adventures ahead as husband and wife, and the best rest of your vacation in Maui!
