I thank God for bringing these two into my life! Maison and Caleb are wildly talented as they run their own photography business, so having them there as friends in the business, people to relate to, share stories with and grab lunches is more than amazing. Shortly after we came together as friends, Caleb put a shiny ring on Maison’s finger and we had the best time chatting about their venue, timelines, a custom bridal gown and all things gold. People would ask me throughout the day if I felt nervous or pressure since they are in the same industry as I, and honestly, I felt more inspired and excited than anything. They knew how to prep like champs, knew what they wanted out of their wedding day and I’m pretty sure the result belongs in a magazine spread. I sincerely feel like I could call them at the drop of a hat for advice or just to chat about the weekend, and that speaks volumes of their character. They let people in, they build relationships and live life the best way. They are humble, they are personable, they are fun and they are madly in love.
Watching Caleb and Maison tie the knot as a friend and fellow photographer was something amazing. They have been on the other side of the lens for countless weddings, witnessing other peoples love stories and just waiting for their countdown to end. Let me tell you, I smiled all day looking through the lens as their love story unfolded. The day began hanging with the girls (wearing the most adorable getting ready shirts!) as they helped one another get ready, admired their lovely dresses, sifted through photo albums and helped Maison slip into her beautiful custom gown. They peeked through the windows and watched as a big white tent became filled with beautiful florals, the most amazing table details and their guests, all ready to witness this promise. The guys also had a wonderful t-shirt collection as they got ready (see below ;)) and later covered them up with spiffy button ups and bow ties.
The ceremony was more than amazing and I am finding it hard to find words to explain how wonderful and heartfelt it really was. Caleb’s face when he first saw his bride was the reaction that every girl hopes for on their wedding day. In front of their family and friends, they sang praise and spoke vows that they will never forget. They closed their eyes, held hands, took deep breaths, let the moment hit them and I’m pretty certain there wasn’t a dry eye in those chairs.
As you can tell, I could probably talk forever about these two and their amazing wedding day. I’m sure you can hear about it from their perspective as bride and groom over at http://www.maisonmeredith.com/blog/, check them out and love them just as much as I do!
