When Jess was about to read her letter from Jon, she looked up at all the girls looking on and said not to expect her to cry when reading through. I think she made it to the second sentence before needing a tissue for her tears. We pulled up to Burlap and Bells in Black River Falls, following a charming dirt road through rows and rows of horizontal trees. To the right, a gorgeous ceremony site tucked in the forest. Up the road and straight ahead, an open pavilion with billowing curtains and people setting up tables and chairs. In the cute blue renovated barn to the right, Jessica and her ladies were getting ready in floral robes surrounded by their beautiful bouquets and all the fun things that come with getting ready. Jess went to school for graphic design, so I was beyond excited to see the paper goods she made (they were lovely, as expected! See below!) and all of her wedding details. I was in detail Heaven, people! I loved that the morning included a gift from her bridesmaids, an album where each page had a letter and photo from each girl. They all sat in a circle, shared “remember whens” and cherished friendship and this day that they get to celebrate their dear friend and bride.
Jon waited for Jess at the end of a long aisle lined with tiki torches and wooden stumps topped with blooms. She hugged her dad, and the pair stood underneath a birch arch where they would exchange vows and seal it with a kiss amongst the sky high pines. It was too magical for words, I’m telling you. Photos in the forest were a dream come true and filled with pure beauty and lots of bridal party bonding! This group was so fun and loved hanging in this amazing space just as much as I did.
The nicest driver and a hay ride brought the party up the path where dinner was served, speeches were shared, so much dancing under twinkle lights happened, s’mores and cake were eaten, day turned night and the celebrations continued until the lights turned off. Jon and Jess, thank you so much for sharing your wedding day with us! A dream venue and an even more wonderful couple. Your kindness and sweet personalities are so easy to love, and we couldn’t be more excited for you and for what’s to come as “Gattone’s”!
