Jeff + Sara: Heartfelt & Classic Wedding Day, Appleton ,WI
We took Jeff and Sara’s engagement photos not so long ago. I loved hearing their excitement when they talked about who would be attending their wedding day from out of state, when they told me about their friends and families, the colors and the candies they chose. Their excitement had me looking forward to watching all of their pieces come together, I loved seeing them light up as their day unfolded. Jeff and Sara were light on their wedding day. It was in their eyes when Sara was getting ready with her favorite girls in the room with her. She lit up around her parents and her brother, it was a day for all of them! Jeff lit up when he saw her for the first time walking down the aisle, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her <3 He was light when he danced with his mom, I’ve never seen so many huge smiles when that dance was happening! They lit up during the ceremony when it came time to hold hands and turn towards one another, and I loved seeing them lock eyes and smiles during speeches when their best friends and close family members shared stories and happy wishes.
One of my favorite stories happened when Sara’s dad took the microphone. Their family owns Vande Walle’s Candies (only the most amazing candy store in ALL of the land) and of course, Christmas is their busiest time of year. Jeff and Sara live in Minneapolis, and on Christmas Eve, knowing her family was slammed with orders, drove all the way home, walked into her families candy shop and said “what does a girl gotta do to get some help around here?!” <3 Jeff’s brother shared a hilarious story about how they were out fishing together. Jeff had the biggest fish of his life on the line, lost it, and even in that wild and crazy and saddening moment, couldn’t bring himself to be negative. They are giving people and their day reflected that completely! Everyone walked out the door of their party with happy hearts and satisfied bellies full of delicious chocolate.
It was a DAY and we felt so lucky to witness it!
