THE NEWEST ADDITION TO THE KLEIN + HIETPAS FAMILY

This “off season” has presented so many different and fun opportunities to learn and grow creatively and as a person. Sure, we are always growing and learning, but these past few months have challenged me to think a little differently and work with other outcomes in mind from what I am used to. I’ll be completely honest in saying that this was the very first time I was able to photograph a birth and I knew absolutely nothing about the process other than there’s labor, and after comes a baby – so that was a learning curve in itself! All I knew was I was SO EXCITED and honored and ready (I think my gear was charged and set by the front door for weeks before… ;)). A text came that they would be induced that morning, and I knew that this was the day that we would get to witness a miracle. Admittedly, I was a little nervous over the unknowns, but truthfully, it was an experience that I will always carry in my heart and can’t thank the Klein’s enough for trusting me to be there with them.

Alex and Katie (who you may recognize from their spring wedding last year!) are two of the best. Without a doubt, Jaden is the gift they have wished and prayed for, a happy, healthy, beautiful baby boy. Once he was welcomed into this world, they looked at him with an outpouring amount of love, a look of amazement that will never go away. They adored his features, were surprised by his size, gave kisses and found out how much love their hearts could hold that day.

This is one of the best stories that I’ll ever get to tell through photos and a film clip! I love you guys, so happy to call you family!
