Gretchen and Ryan, creatives themselves created a day that was full of life, just like them. They leaned into the romance of a wedding and into the natural environment around them, they brought and wore things that we personal to them, like her dad’s earrings and his grandpa’s tie chain and meaningful bouquet brooch. They had their college art professor marry them, they took time to kiss grandma, they painted a picture and took pictures in a real life Monet painting. They let the day breathe around them, so that friends could have conversations on rocking chairs. They placed photos of guests, from their own weddings or special memories, on the tables where they sat for dinner. It was a true celebration of love and we all felt it in our hearts, while we watched their big laughs and waist squeezes and gestures of joy and disbelief that this is real life.
