Austin & Melani were married in Melani’s parents backyard, where their wedding party included their dogs and their niece and nephew, where they buried bourbon to dig up this day, where they danced on the patio and kissed grandma on the cheeks and where they created a space that was comfortable and celebratory for all <3

Her parents wedding photo hung on the wall behind Melani while her mom and sister zipped her in her dress, their DJ was a phone playlist, their bar was a line of coolers on the side of the tent. Her cousin made her bouquet from lilacs and pops of May color, and the whole yard smelled like lilacs from her parents flowering bushes. Melani and her niece (MOH) made matching anklets to pass the morning time. Their nephew “bartended” and foot raced any takers at night fall. It all just felt fun and easy, and very much like Austin and Melani <3
