Oh how fun it was to relive Tim and Anna’s day as I prep for their blog post! We fell in love with the day right from the get go. Our first stop was to hang with the fellas in the AM where we were greeted with a big hug at the door from Tim, boys sipping coffee in mustache socks and being absolutely hilarious. They helped each other with their bow ties and excitedly chatted about the fabulous day to come. Over with the girls was just as wonderful as they leisurely ate lunch, big belly laughed and helped Anna slip into her beautiful gown. The morning was beautiful and fun, which was only the beginning of what was to come. Separately, both parties were equally as excited and ready and joyful.
Both parties came together at the church and it was magical. Everyone was like family. All the hugs, all the excitement, all the happy dances made the vibe more than inviting and special. They both cried happy tears when they exchanged gifts and notes, they both paced around their rooms waiting for go-time and they both had smiles planted on their faces the entire day. For real, it is amazing how perfect these to are for one another.
The ceremony came and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the church. Tim’s dad was able to marry the couple, share his words of wisdom, thoughts on marriage, stories of when they first met and expressed only love for his son and soon-to-be daughter in law. There ceremony was so heartfelt and honest and made for the perfect start to their new lives as husband and wife. With their reception taking place downtown Appleton, they made sure to attend the Mile of Music to enjoy some great tunes and hang with other music lovers. These two being music teachers themselves, they have a great appreciation for the event and I am certain their wedding could not have fallen on a more perfect day! While at Houdini Plaza, the band called them onstage where they cheered, played air guitar, and whisked away to their reception that was filled with some amazing musical touches. Records were used as place mats while literature and sheets music made up the centerpieces. Guests sang songs off of their records during dinner to make the couple smooch and my, the talent level was out of this world!
Come the reception, Tim and Anna slipped on their sneakers and danced the night away. Anna and her dad surprised us with a little dance to The Champs “Tequila” song and it was the greatest thing. Following, Tim and his mom filled with dance floor with some polka where guests joined in the fun and I’m pretty certain they didn’t kick of their dancing shoes until they were kicked out.
If it isn’t apparent already, Tim and Anna’s day was simply amazing. The atmosphere was more than fun, the people were hilarious and kind, and the pups at the party wore bow ties. It really doesn’t get much better!
