Nina and Erik greeted staggering guest arrivals with a big hug and a glass of champagne. They gave everyone a little tour of their home away from home for the week, Breathless Resort, Punta Cana, and gestured to the spot where their people were starting to congregate that day. The nook by the swim up bar, the cabana by the beach, the Italian restaurant, the lobby bar for a game of Catan. Most people had a few days before the wedding to catch some rays and settle in, and a day or two after to unwind. Togetherness and sunshine, in that order.

It was Monday morning, sunny and suddenly windy, and the day that everyone swapped their swim suits for wedding wear. Nina brought along her mom’s hairpiece from her parent’s wedding, she placed some of those dainty white flowers in her hair. Barefoot and happy, they walked the resort together and met their favorite people on the beach. Everyone had a hand written note and photo waiting for them at their dinner spot. All family and ages and friend groups collided by now, and it was one big, joyful, sun kissed unit cheering for them and that excitement kept all day, onto the dance floor, and down to the lobby bar for espresso martinis.

The day after, papa fritas and the ocean by day, hot tub hopping by afternoon, and on trend for espresso martinis and dinner in the lobby bar by night. Life was good, so good, and we’re the most thankful people that we were able to make memories with this group!
