Pete & Luiza: A day of sunshine and sweet moments, The Lageret, Stoughton, WI

It was the HAPPIEST of fall days!!! You could feel the joy running through Luiza the second we walked in. She held hands with and hugged her mom while getting ready, smiled and cried tears of thankfulness while her girls prayed around her, and she was present for every single moment and feeling. I loved that about Luiza on her wedding day. Pete patiently waited for his bride at a park nearby. When he turned around to see her, he skipped a breath and heartbeat and held her so tight! It was one of those long hugs that say so much without saying anything at all. He too embraced every second of their day and every second with Luiza. I swear he fell in love with her all over again!

These two had an amazing turn out, people from ALL over the world were present to celebrate. A lot of Luiza’s family is from Brazil and I could not believe how many of them made it to small town Wisconsin to surround them with love. An honorable mention to this day was Luiza’s grandma! One of my favorite parts of Pete and Luiza’s day was during their reception. The speeches were over (and beautifully said <3) but grandma had a surprise in store. She walked to the microphone, smiled so big, and spoke (in english!! She’s incredible!) the sweetest well wishes. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room and this was the greatest gift.
