Lucas + Kirstin: A Classic, Joyful Wedding Day with Old Hollywood Flair, Madison, WI

We took SO many pictures at this wedding and could not get enough! Every second was full of the biggest laughs or the most genuine reactions. We fell in love with 2019’s wedding season right when we walked into Lucas and Kirstin’s wedding day. It had personality, pops of color, heirloom details (the tray that you see in the first photo is from her grandparents, she wore grandma’s ring, and a piece of grandma’s wedding dress and a piece of her mom’s wedding dress was sewn into her dress <3) an old Hollywood, timeless feel with a vibe that was crazy fun thanks to Lucas, Kirstin and their beyond amazing bridal party and families. They kept the good times rolling all day and I loved that so much! It was truly their best day. I learned that their friends are like family and Lucas, being an amazing cook, makes gourmet dinners for Kirstin and friends often. Now that is love!

You might remember their engagement session post where I mentioned that Kirstin had a crush on Lucas for the longest time and on this day, she got to take his last name under the arch that they built together! I loved watching them have their own moments during their first look (it will make you cry and laugh all at once), making jokes during photos, giving glances during their ceremony, sharing whispers during dinner and Lucas “fishing” for Kirstin on the dance floor.

They just got back from a two week honeymoon exploring ALL that Hawaii has to offer. It’s the coolest thing to know that their big trip was only a small sliver of their adventures together with their previous travels and all of their adventures and experiences to come as husband and wife!

Lucas and Kirstin, we are SO happy for you and cannot express how much we loved every ounce of your day and people that were part of it!
